Are the rates listed on the website per person or per room?
The prices listed on our website are per room, per night. They are inclusive of GST, so the total cost of your stay will simply be number of nights x rate per night.
I am interested in booking a room, how do I know if it is available on the dates I want it?
Select Rates & Availability to view our Calendar. Any dates that are shaded red are already booked; dates showing the rates are available.
How far in advance do I need to book the property?
We recommend booking as early as possible in order to have the best selection of rooms and dates. It is really never too early to book a property, especially La Perouse 4 our cottage which often receive bookings one year in advance for weddings, anniveraries and birthdays.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Our policy is 3 pm checkin and a 10 am checkout. These times may be flexible off peak, especially if there are no guests staying before or arriving after your stay. We recommend asking the La Perouse manager what checkin/checkout times apply to your specific stay. For guests staying at La Perouse we will gladly let you leave your luggage at the property before checkin or after checkout, if necessary.
The description I’m looking at doesn’t mention anything about parking or Internet. Am I correct to assume that those things are not available at this property?
No there is FREE parking at La Perouse, our entrance is via William St. We also have FREE wifi available to our guests.
The room I want to book has a 2-night minimum requirement but I want to stay for only 1 night. Is it possible for me to book?
Perhaps. The minimum stay requirement refers to the minimum number of consecutive nights that must be booked. It varies depending on the time of year, but it is generally 2 nights. We will accept single nights with a 10% surcharge. If you would like to request a short stay, please contact us.
We are three adults but we don’t mind sharing beds or having some one person sleep on the floor. Can we still book a room?
No. The maximum number of guests is 2 adults for each room is the maximum number allowed. If upon arrival there are more guests than the room allows, the La Perouse manager may choose to cancel the reservation. In that case, any deposit paid will be forfeited.
We have an infant under 2, do you provide a portacot?
Yes, La Perouse 3 and 4 both have portacots available. Please indicate at the time of booking if you require a cot.
How do I book my accommodation?
Booking through our website is easy. Once you decide which room is right for you, simply click on the "Rates & Availability" buttons. You will then be prompted to select a room and enter the number of nights of your stay from the starting date. Next you will be asked to indicate the number of guests staying. Next you will be able to select any extra services required for instance a bottle of French champagne. Next you will be asked for your contact information. Here you can create a password so that you can login and make the final payment closer to your stay or make any alterations to your booking at a later date. You must agree to our terms and conditions. Once you verify that all the information is correct, click on the “Proceed” button. This will take you to a secure page, where you will be asked to pay a deposit using a credit card (we accept Mastercard and Visa surchages apply. Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, in order for the reservation to be confirmed, you must pay a deposit in advance. The deposit is 50% of the total cost of the booking.
What is the cancellation policy?
All electronic bookings via external websites are non-refundable. Cancellations notified 30 days prior to arrival forfeit the full deposit of 50% of the total tariff unless the room is re-let. Cancellations notified 30 days or less prior to arrival will forfeit 100% of the total tariff. All prepaid bookings are non-refundable. An administration fee of $50 applies to all cancellations.
What payment methods can I use to pay the deposit?
We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) and some bank debit cards. A credit card surcharge applies to all bookings.
I’ve reserved my accommodation online. Will I receive a confirmation?
Yes. As soon as a deposit is made, you will receive an automated email from us with "LA PEROUSE BOOKING" in the subject line. It will contain full details of your reservation, including the property address and the owner's contact information. Please print that email and bring it with you. If you do not receive the email immediately, please check all mail folders such as Spam and Junk as the emails are sometimes diverted there. You will also receive an email receipt for your deposit payment from eway, our payment processor, but that is for your records only.
I've reserved my accommodation, but I have some follow-up questions about my stay. Whom should I contact?
All post-booking questions or comments should be directed to the La Perouse Manager. Their name and email address can be found on the "BOOKING CONFIRMATION" email you received immediately after making your reservation online.
I've reserved my accommodation, but now I need to extend my stay. Whom should I contact?
It is generally not a problem to extend your stay, provided that the property you booked is available for additional nights. Please contact the La Perouse manager to extend your stay and we will modify your reservation for you and charge your credit card for the additional nights stayed.
How do I get the keys? Will somebody be there to greet me?
Upon receiving the confirmation of reservation, the La Perouse manager will contact you via email to discuss your arrival details. Prior to your arrival you will be able to login at www.laperouselorne.com.au to pay the balance.
I am scheduled to arrive in a couple of weeks and have not received a confirmation email. What should I do?
It is quite possible that the email was diverted to your Junk, Spam, or Bulk folders or simply did not go through. If you cannot find the email, please contact the La Perouse manager at the email address provided on your BOOKING CONFIRMATION to inform them of your expected arrival time.
How do I pay the remaining balance?
You will receive an email 4 weeks prior to your stay requesting the final payment. Please go to www.laperouselorne.com.au select the button “MAKE A PAYMENT” and follow the prompts. If you have forgotten your password there is a button to click to have it resent to the email used to make the booking. If you fail to pay the balance prior to your stay it will be automatically deducted from the credit card used to make the booking and a confirmation sent to by email. If this credit card is declined your booking will be cancelled and the deposit forfeited.
The price on the website is now lower than it was at the time I made my booking. Have I been overcharged?
The prices listed on our website reflect the prevailing prices at that point in time. Sometimes the manager will offer price discounts to generate last-minute bookings or raise prices to reflect improvements to the properties. In these cases, no price adjustments will be made to bookings that were made prior to the implementation of the price change.
Will linens and towels be provided, or do I have to bring my own? What about soap and shampoo?
All liinen and towels and luxury bath products will be provided. If you have any other specific questions about what is included in the property, please email the La Perouse manager directly.
Will I receive daily service in my room?
Yes, we service the rooms daily at La Perouse except if guests don't leave their room or request not to be disturbed.
I am flying into Tullamarine airport. Can you provide a transfer from the airport to my final destination?
Yes, we are happy to offer airport transfers for clients who have booked accommodation with us. Please email us for our price list and to request a transfer. There are a number of car hire services at the airport that can be pre-booked prior to your drive along the great ocean road to Lorne.
