Exploring the Great Ocean Road – one of Australia's most breath-taking drives – should be on every traveller's wish-list. La Perouse is at popular seaside town Lorne, about a quarter of the way along.
- Planes If you're flying into Melbourne, Avalon Airport is your closest option, an 80-minute drive from Lorne. Melbourne's main airport at Tullamarine is around two hours from Lorne. Light aircraft can touch down at Torquay, Colac and Apollo Bay, which are located around 45 minutes from Lorne.
- Trains You can catch a V/Line train south-west from Melbourne to Geelong, then take an Apollo Bay-bound coach along the Great Ocean Road to Lorne.
- Local taxi service Lorne Taxi (+61 (0)3 5289 2300) can ferry you around town.
- Cars Follow the Princes Freeway (M1) from Melbourne to Geelong, then take the Great Ocean Road (B100) to Lorne. You can avoid the twists and turns of the Great Ocean Road by heading to Winchelsea from Geelong on the A1, then taking the C151 via Deans Marsh to Lorne, but you'll be missing out on half the fun. Once you arrive in Lorne, cross the bridge over the Erskine River and take the first right into Otway Street. La Perouse is on the corner of Otway and William St (entrance via William St)
We can arrange transfers from the airport, bus stop or helipad on request
